They started testing immediately for a leak. As the receipt from tech states they could not pinpoint the leak. I asked about adding a pound of refrigerant to the system. Technician and supervisor both advised against it because it might make the leak worse. I accepted that. However, They advised me as they were leaving that running low of refrigerant could cause damage to the system similar to running a car or truck with no motor oil. There was no recommendation made on resolving the problem directly. It was insinuated that the A-coil needed to be replaced again. The A-coil was replaced for same type of leakage 10/01/2020 service ticket#0189889. This current A-coil is only 29 months old. Totally unacceptable primarily due to the age of existing A-coil. We were left feeling scammed and frightened into another expensive fix."

Then, as Conrado completed the repair of one AirCon unit (as diagnosed by Tim), he discovers that this unit is empty of refrigerant (Tim didnt report it in his report). There is no explanation as to how a unit that was running perfectly well last summer, suddenly is empty of refrigerant - and assuming I have a leak, Tim and his apprentice failed to detect it. Conrados advice was not to turn it on or I will experience a massive (obvious) fail. I spoke to Trevor yesterday and let him know the above. Right now I know that I need to replace 2 complete systems (front and back of the house) but I honestly dont think Im going yo give you this business and, for that matter, continue my maintenance contract with Carverley. Note that this is the second time a bad technician has misdiagnosed my equipment in the last year - the last time it was in October when that technician diagnosed one of our furnaces as needing replacement- only after I got a different company and another one of your technicians to double check it, I was told it was only showing normal tear and wear. I sense either incompetence, carelessness or greed from technicians (except a few who remain extremely professional and honest)."

The technician promised to bring one by the next day. He did not, so I called that day and left a message to remind him. It took over a week for him to respond (I called a 2nd time), he finally called and said he had been out ill and would bring one the nexr week. He did not. ALSO, in 2021 I was advised that a $4k part on my 6 year old system! At the 5 year mark I had to pay over $300 for a capacitor that failed. Then on my last appointment I was advised the blower was registering low ohms and to replace the part!is $900, on my 7 year old system! And on the last appointment another employee accompanied the tech, at the end of the appointment I was advised he was in sales, when he recommended a new system. He said I had a 14 sheer system which was too small to handle the heat conditions we experience in N. Texas. I am very very upset that I trusted Calverly in June of 2015 to sell and install the proper system to accommodate my square footage and Texas heat, which is not a new phenomenon, especially to a A/C company that has been in business for many years. I feel I have been bamboozled and Calverly has shady business practices. BTW my Lennox system was not cheap when purchased in 2015"
