What Are Common Air Conditioning Problems?

Calverley Service Experts is here with some of the most usual cooling problems in Fort Worth.

  • No Cool Air

If you can hear your air conditioning system operating but there isn’t cool air coming out, you might need to have your refrigerant levels checked. Refrigerant is what helps make sure the air blowing from your system is actually cool. Call Calverley Service Experts and we’ll come out and check your refrigerant levels and look into why your system is not producing cool air.

  • Fan Won’t Rotate

The reason your condenser fan might not be rotating could be that it just burned out and you have to replace it. Humidity tends to cause more condensation so a second issue to watch for is that the water is not draining right or that the drain is blocked. If you can verify these matters, you may be able to pinpoint the problem; if not, give Calverley Service Experts a call and we can look into what has stopped your condenser fan from rotating and discuss your options to get your system working again.

  • Not Cooling Properly

First, try decreasing the temperature on your thermostat. It sounds silly but sometimes we neglect the obvious. If that doesn’t get your A/C cooling, take a look at the air filter. If the air filter is obstructed, it could cause huge cooling problems. Another issue that could cause your lack of cooling is that your air conditioner is not sized properly, and unfortunately this is a common issue when homes are constructed. Calverley Service Experts will come out and do an analysis to determine if the size of your system is causing your troubles.

  • System is Short Cycling

If your AC is short cycling, or turning on or off repeatedly, it could mean one of many things. One is that your condenser or evaporator is dirty and requires cleaning. Once the system is cleaned and all clogs removed, you may be all set. Note that humidity also plays a piece so if your home cools to the desired temperature, but then the humidity causes your home to warm back up, it could result in on-again, off-again air conditioning because the equipment is having to work harder to keep your home cool.

No matter your issue, whatever AC trouble you run into, Calverley Service Experts is here for you 24 hours a day so we can get you comfortable quickly.
