The NATE-Certification Advantage

March 20, 2018

Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning is proud to send NATE-Certified technicians into customers’ homes across North America every day. While this title of being Nate-Certified definitely sounds reassuring, what does it truly mean?

NATE, an abbreviation for North American Technician Excellence, is the nation’s largest non-profit certification organization for heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration technicians. NATE is the certification organization that was developed by and has been supported by the entire HVACR industry for approximately 20 years. But, not all technicians in the business have to be NATE-Certified. The certification is elective and technicians can service heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration units without the accreditation.

It’s important to Service Experts that our team is NATE-Certified to make sure we are placing the most experienced technicians into our customers’ homes. To make sure technicians meet these benchmarks, the NATE-Certification exams validate real-world working knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems for technicians. The assessments are knowledge-based exams that evaluate the technician’s understanding of these rules.

Since Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning focuses largely on the HVAC side of NATE-Certification, our technicians attain their designations in these areas. However, NATE assessment candidates may earn certification in multiple areas:

  • Air Conditioning
  • Air Distribution
  • Gas Heating
  • Oil Heating
  • Heat Pumps
  • Hydronic Gas (service only)
  • Hydronics Oil (service only)
  • Light Commercial Refrigeration (service only)
  • Commercial Refrigeration (service only)
  • Ground Source Heat Pump Loop Installer
  • Senior HVAC Efficiency Analyst

You can be sure that the technicians at Service Experts are highly effiecient and professional and will do the job right the first time. Our company has the knowledge and skill set to not only service your HVAC systems, but to take the best care of your equipment. Call to have one of our NATE-Certified experts inspect your HVAC system to be sure that it is equipped to ensure your family’s comfort all season long.
